This is a worksheet used in a lesson observation that was judged to be Outstanding (I've not put the lesson itself up, as it isn't a pick up and teach resource). The worksheet takes students on a 'walk around' the key elements of the poem and mirrors the narrative of the poem. There are extension questions embedded within the sheet and clear focuses on language and form. This would work extremely well for revision, homework or the basis of another lesson.

This is a very straightforward KS3 poetry lesson on 'The Soldier'. There are higher and lower activities for students depending on differing levels of confidence. Very appropriate for KS3 classes with target grades of between 2-6.

This is a list of ideas that might be a good starting point or refresher for teachers trying to work out just what to do with a certain group, or working out how to support a certain student. They are certainly not all original, but they are something I put together for my faculty that has seemed to be useful.
