Here is one lesson provided FREE (please review if you can) as part of a unit of work encouraging English students of all ages to engage with ideas about women . The whole unit exists to teach a full range of reading skills which would enhance the teaching of a whole school reading strategy. In this topic you will read a range of non fiction texts about adventurous and talented women. Studentswill read biographies, autobiographies, journals, diaries and summaries of the things that women have done over time. The focus of your skills development will be reading. You will be asked to read for meaning, select information, think carefully about vocabulary and reflect on the events and the language used to describe them.
