This spreadsheet has been created to track students' progress across PIVATs 5 Maths (Number). If a child has securely achieved a performance descriptor for e.g. S1C (Stage 1 Counting) you will need to enter 1 and if they have not, you should enter 0. When you enter 1, the cell will turn to green and when you enter 0, it will turn to orange. Once you have indicated where your students are for each performance descriptor, it will calculate the steps, the Pivats Stage and Score in line with the guidance given by the creators of PIVATs. As the document extends from P Scales to Stage 4, I have also grouped the information at the top of the page into the PIVATs Stages so you will need to press the + button to extend the descriptors for each Pivats Stage. The spreadsheet will help class teachers to have an overview of the strengths and weaknesses of their class and whole schools could potentially use this as a way to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of their cohort; thereby creating training opportunities for staff and interventions for large groups of students.
