This resource is to help Maths and EAL teachers assess the prior knowledge of EAL pupils who have had limited previous schooling on entry to secondary school. It will not produce a level but if you support the pupil to work through it you will be able to diagnose their previous knowledge and skills in Maths.

This activity is designed for advanced EAL learners. It draws attention to the content obligatory language for the topic of the circulatory system. The cloze activity delibrately omits prepositions rather than subject specific vocabulary.
