Lesson used to introduce rules and expectations in the classroom. Activity for the ‘Big Six’ religions and their key aspects with posters to place around the room. Pupils then cut these up and stick in their book from largest religion to smallest religion. Provide a good basis for the study of world religions.

Used for OCR but can easily be adapted. Pupils will be able to identify the different types of yoga and why yogis/yoginis may be considered important to Hindus. I use Gavin Flood (1996) ‘Introduction to Hinduism’ for the information aspect but videos identified also explain the different types of yoga.
