This worksheet follows a diagnose, learn the facts and test approach for revision of ratio for foundation students. Students are encouraged to spend 15 minutes independently on the task. In the first 5 minutes students "try for 5" by attempting two ratio exam questions. In the middle 5 minutes "facts for 5" students are coached step by step through method and the allocation of marks. They should be encouraged to reflect on their method and mark their work in these 5 minutes. In the last 5 minutes "test for 5" students put into practice methods learnt. The answers to the "test for 5" questions should be discussed as a class to complete the task. The sheet cut be cut into strips if your students are likely to look at the answers before attempting the "try for 5" section.
