Posters are based on information from Edexcel’s official revision guide, and are intended to be used to summarize and revise from. I used them as a ‘revision wall’ at my school which was popular with my year 11s.
This powerpoint includes 23 different rehearsal techniques designed to explore the following;
-characterisation
-relationships
-exits/entrances/use of stage space
-chorus/ensemble
-language/text
Each slide include the aims of each technique, a description of how to run technique, and an equipment list. Each rehearsal technique is colour coded in order to identify which of the areas listed above it is most suitable for.
It can be used to help students to develop their work for the Edexcel GCSE course in Component 1 and 2, either as part of their portfolio or practical investigation and development. Similarly, it can be used for the AS, and A Level course.
This is a fantastic introduction for students who are new to Drama Education in a secondary school environment. I use it with year 7 in their first half term (Sep-Oct).
This SOW is designed for KS3 students as an introduction to the main performance skills as outlined in the Edexcel GCSE 1-9 spec. The SOW guides students through a series of tasks where they apply the performance skills in a range of ways to communicate meaning.

This is lesson is designed as a REVISION and RE-CAP lesson to reinforce the students prior learning on COSTUME.
It is in preparation for the Edexcel GCSE Drama (9-1) Component 3 exam.
The main task focuses on the characters from Twelfth Night, but this is easily adaptable for any of the other GCSE Set texts and DOES NOT dominate the lesson activity.

These key moments from William Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ are based on those outlined by the RSC ( They are a good way to test the students knowledge of the plot. This is a recommended text for the new Edexcel GCSE Drama 1-9 (2016).
INSTRUCTIONS
-Print the powerpoint double sided, and laminate if possible.
-Scatter the slides, with the ‘ACT’ side face down, across the room and time how long the student take to arrange them correctly.
-Check by asking students to turn the placards, revealing the act and scene.
-Display on the walls once finished for reference throughout the sow.
