I created this PowerPoint for my Year 10 Cambridge IGCSE English Literature class. It was written to get them to understand the main features and themes in the poem.

A language activity and imaginative writing task based on the poem 'Flannan Isle.' It's based on a mysterious incident in 1900 when three lighthouse-keeper disappeared from The Flannan Isles without explanation.

A powerpoint lesson presentation resource examining exam based poetry skills. I worked with a Higher English on the narrative poem 'Haddock Fishermen' by George Mackay Brown, in order to help them with their critical essay writing skills.

I teach Standard Grade English in Scotland and have used this essay plan with my S4 (equivalent of Year 11) classes.
