STUCK FOR LEARNING ACTIVITIES FOR A STUDENT WHO IN NOT IN NORMAL LESSONS ? THIS MAY BE THE RESOURCE FOR YOU ! The booklet provides a series of activities which can be used for students who are not in normal lessons. Each of the activities provide a learning experience for students who are working on their own. This may be because they are in isolation or on detention, for example. Whilst there may occasionally be a need for teacher input, the activities are designed to be self-explanatory or reinforce prior learning. There are over 20 activities to complete in this booklet. It is aimed at Key Stage 3 students but would also be suitable for brighter KS2 students or less able KS4 students. The activities will provide clear outcomes making it easy for teachers to check that the work has been completed (and is correct). The activities cover a range of subjects from literacy and numeracy to Humanities and the Arts. Activities are one off activities but promote key skills and knowledge, together with some activities which promote thinking skills. This will enable the teacher to make choices as to what the students needs to complete, dependent upon factors such as ability, interest or the daily timetable of the student.
