First lesson of my P6 planning for the new 21st Century Science Specification. Works alongside SOLO taxonomy (can be easily converted to Blooms). A variety of different, differentiated tasks. This is a comprehensive list of the words used in GCSE Science exams that students need to know by the end of Year 11. They also work well as a reminder for A Level students. I print them out onto rainbow shades of paper and have laminated them around my room. Feel free to share among your colleagues :)

This is an introductory Powerpoint for early entry Year 9s about how to look at the reliability of the sources students gather as part of their coursework. This looks at how they can tell reliability and how they go about explaining why they know it's reliable. The aim of the lesson is to come up with a check list they need to refer to every time they find a new source.

Both documents are a complete pH display for your classroom. If you can't afford the coloured printing, print it black and white onto coloured paper instead :)

Quick starter activity for P6 Density lessons. Using pictures and words, students have to Diamond 9 the items and decide which are least dense down to most dense.
