All the information in this presentation comes from the charity ‘Mind’ and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This could be useful to go through with pupils in preparation for being off school for a long period and self-isolating.

I created this presentation for a 30 minute Year 10 lesson for Refugee Week. I wanted to try and give both sides of the argument whilst helping them to understand the plight of the refugees/ immigrants on the boats. I used a worksheet I downloaded from here last week for the Allow or Refuse section. Powerpoints just seem to be easier to prepare for teachers who are delivering the lessons. If there was more time I would make the students debate the question properly but there’s only 30 minutes for PSHE in my school. This lesson is about the situation in the last few weeks, unfortunately I imagine it will be relevant for a while.
