This is a scheme of work I made for low ability year 9s. The theme is American Literature. It covers skills from both of the new AQA English Language papers. it would work for much of KS3 as an intro to some of the new GCSE tasks and skills. It includes homework for the whole unit. Writers covered in this unit are: Poe, Maya Angelou, Harper Lee, Michael Crichton, Adam Richman, Truman Capote, Mark Twain, John Steinbeck and Stephen King. There are also some extracts from speeches by Michelle Obama, Trump, FDR, MLK and Hillary Clinton. Everything is here - all the powerpoints and resources. Some powerpoints have hyperlinks embedded in them. It is all clearly labelled, all you need to do it print and go.
