As part of the 2017 KS1 requirements, exclamation sentences need to start with What or How and include a verb. A brand new way of teaching exclamations for many of us. This resource fully explains how to go about doing this so that you can achieve success with your children. When I used this in the classroom, I used images relevant for the topic that we were studying (Stick Man by Julia Donaldson) - unfortunately, copyright laws mean that I can't include them in this presentation but I have indicated where would be a good place to find images of your own. Using this resource will ensure that your children meet the expectations of the KS1 interim teaching and assessment framework statements (ITAFs) and will be able to use these to show writing to meet the 'working at the expected standard'.
