A hands-on practical lesson exploring how germs spread through touch and shared objects, how to clean surfaces safely, and how to recognise common COSHH hazard symbols on cleaning products. Ideal for SEND, KS2, lower KS3, alternative provision, life skills, science, health and safety, or employability sessions. This practical Glitter Germs & Cleaning Safety lesson helps pupils understand how germs can spread through hands, shared objects and surfaces using a simple glitter demonstration. Pupils then follow a safe cleaning routine to remove the glitter “germs” and learn how cleaning products should be used and stored safely. The resource is designed to be practical, low-prep and accessible, with clear routines, visuals, sorting tasks and an exit ticket to check understanding.
