This is a lesson plan and supporting resources on an introduction to open and closed questions. It was judged as outstanding and was used with SEN adult learners but could easily be used for secondary aged students. I used it as part of the ESB course but it can easily be used to encourage students to ask open ended questions as whatever level.

This is an ofsted judged outstanding lesson on colour connotations, delivered as part of a media and advertising SOW. Included are the resources for the lesson and the plan. This was delivered to a key stage 3 group. The colour connotations boards were laminated and the answers were laminated, cut and attached to the boards using velcro dots, but these could be just placed on the board. There is also a resource with an extension activity.

This is a lesson I taught for a senior position at a job interview. The lesson looks at introducing the students to the poem ‘About his persons’. The feedback I had was brilliant, the lesson was judged as outstanding and I was given the job. Students really enjoyed the approach.

This is a lesson which looks at logos. The PPT guides you through the lesson and has differentiated slides to handout to students to apply their learning. There is also a teacher model included. The lesson can be delivered exploring media and non-fiction schemes.
