This resource is for practising questions that appear early on in non-calculator papers in GCSE maths: "given this calculation.... use it to answer these questions" It involves an understanding of powers of 10, manipulation of calculations and the ability to check answers through estimation. It should make a useful starter activity, especially in the run up to exams.
