I created this stave by stave list of key vocabulary for my less able class. They found it very helpful to have next to them as we read and it helped them immensely with their own discussion of the text as I encouraged them to use these words in their answers.

I made this booklet for my Year 11 class last year. This is fully editable and you will need to change the dates of the exams/ references to me(!). But it takes you through each question step by step and gives up to date examiner advice. Whether it is fiction, narrative or non-fiction writing, teaching narrative perspective can be quite tricky- after all, not all 15 or 16 year olds have very strong opinions on global warming or building on green spaces in the local area. This Powerpoint resource has been edited to fit A4 paper perfectly when you print it, making it the ideal ready-to-go resource. It encourages students to create a detailed character. They can then use this character in any of their creative writing- descriptive, narrative, or even non-fiction writing such as the persuasive writing questions they may get at GCSE. These are the typed up course notes from the CIE course I attended in Jan 2020 in London. For either the 0500 or 09 2020 specs of CIE iGCSE English Language. I was quite new to the course and I often find there’s not much out there for subject knowledge so I hope this is helpful!

I created this revision booklet for my year 10 class as I had half of them live in lesson and half were isolating at home. I have tried to make the booklet as self-explanatory as possible and students have commented that it has been incredible helpful. I have also used it within live lessons, putting it under a visualiser and modelling or class modelling a task together. I hope it saves someone a bit of work!
