Old Folks Laugh By Maya Angelou Summary & Analysis

(0)
Old Folks Laugh is one of my favourite Maya Angelou poems! I've complied this powerpoint, with summaries of each stanza, plus an analysis on the poem as a whole e.g. structure, poet's intention etc. as well as a short bio on the poet. At the end, questions are provided on the poem, as well as an essay question with a memo attached. This is perfect for teaching students how to analyse poetry, as the many tools of poetry are explained throughly in this example! Have fun and enjoy :)
