I love this lesson. Has served me well for years. Just get the class to read each dilemma, wind them up with some antagonistic questions, and then unleash awesome whole class debates! Beautiful. As soon as they tire, move onto the next one. Love it.

I use this for all students, means that everyone can have a fighting chance of getting some marks. There is occasionally the odd student who does not revise for RE as hard as for other exams. The ppt helps to ameliorate this fact.

A lot of material taken from the Internet and then made into resources for the classroom. Some material taken from websites like cliffnotes or gradesaver. Also a lot of reference made to background context using the film Missing (1980s film, quite slow, but pretty damn good). You need access to a copy of this film in order to use the discussion questions in some of the powerpoints.

Just enlarge to A3 and get your reprographics department to laminate them and.... Ta-dah! Instanst wall display. (For one wall at least.)

This is a little known poem by Bishop, but a beautifully ambiguous one. Honestly don’t know the exact meaning of it… But have found it useful as a segue into some high level poetic vocabulary for my year 13 students.
