I have written this student work book alongside the Hodder student guide “Pearson Edexcel AS/A-Level Religious Studies, New Testament Studies” by Jane Kelly. Although I have written it with the book and used the page numbers, there is no need for students to access this; they could just use their own notes. The idea is that there are questions and tables for the students to fill in to ensure they have all the basic information required for the AS part of the course (unit 1-3). In particular during this time where students have missed so much of the teaching of the course due to COVID-19 I thought it would be helpful for them to have a step by step work book to catch up and ensure all their learning is there. I also thought it would be helpful long term for all my students. Whether they are weaker and need a lot of support through the A level or even those who are on for the highest grades it can provide a bit of a comfort blanket to ensure they have the key parts. I will be giving it to my own year 12 students when I see them next week. Then I plan to use it with the new year 12 as we work through the course, including setting some tasks or homeworks with it.

Two checklists for NT Edexcel A level Religious Studies. This is for students to use to check off their revision as it progresses so they can see if they have covered everything. My students have found them really useful.
