Connection walls are an engaging revision technique which forces students to think hard. Each wall has four groups of terms covering four different topics. Students have to work out which topics go together and what topic connects them. This resources includes twelve connection walls with answers and each is followed by a set of five recap questions linked to the topics in the wall. There are five walls for Theme 1 which can be used at various stages, five for Theme 2 and two which include topics from both themes.

A set of 10 editable crosswords which cover the majority of terminology on the Edexcel GCSE Theme 1 specification. There are crosswords for each of the topics 1.1 to 1.5, as well as ones which recap content for a number topics. They provide an engaging way to introduce retrieval into lessons and make great recap starters and can also be incorporated into revision lessons. Each crossword includes answers as well as a list of terms and definitions which can be entered into the Discovery Education website to make adaptations.
