The first two pages should be suitable for all. The third page contains most of the required math, but the methods I have taught may not fit those taught in other class and therefore might not be so helpful.

The included PowerPoint contains all the key ideas within the Year 10 disease and immunity section needed for growing bacterial cultures.
It emphasizing the steps that should be taken to keep the process safe.
This is can be completed over a single lesson, with the students revisiting their results a week later.
Accompanying this is an equipment list suggestion what is required to allow students to grow their own cultures.

This activity is designed to make the process of speciation more accessible to students by involving them in an example using the fictional species the Tub-Tubs.

This resources is aimed to reinforce the students understanding of the triplet code used to decipher DNA and generally takes between 15-30 mins depending on the ability of the class. All instructions a included on the resources.
The following slides contain the resources and instructions needed for 5 different activities for use when revising the Year 11 enzyme topic.

The following resources uses a fiction article as a stimulus for introducing the role of independent scientists in research.
It is aimed at higher ability Year 9 students developing HSW skills and Year 10 science students. This Task should take 10-20 mins depending on student ability. (This stands alone as a cover lesson if necessary.)
Along with questions based on the information in the article, a second section is included using a more exam based example.
Marks for each question have been suggested but best judgement should be used when assessing student responses.

This activity is aimed at Year 8 students completing their study of Ecology. It includes work on ecological terms, adaptations, food chains, populations and sustainability.
Provided is a stimulus article about Ygoloce Island; A fictional tropical paradise.
The accompanying questions allow students to apply their understanding of ecology to an unfamiliar example. Questions are designed to stretch more able students, while still being accessible to all members of the class.
The entire activity may take between 45mins - 1hr for students to independently complete or be broken into short tasks and completed one at a time with a class.
