This powerpoint introduces the idea of retelling a traditional tale - wth the end product of a newspaper report. This lesson assesses what the children already know and focuses on the 3 little pigs. Through breaking it dowm into its skeleton children realise what the key points of a story are. Children have lots of fun trying to reduce the content into 30 seconds wthout losing the main ideas. After practicing the storytelling children then plot the story in pictures and use this to retell the story to their partner.**

A timetable for the first half term of Summer - with weekly themed music to come in and out of assembly too. I have matched each week to a theme which is occurring during that week and produced an informative poster to display in the hall. This also provides some brief information on the theme and the chosen work. You tube links are provided to the pieces. I have tried to consider the range of music and musician from folk music. modern music, different cultures - to provide as wide a scope as possible within the half term I am working on these for each half term and will upload when completed. Hopefully this will help people as I struggled to find anything when I was looking .

A short powerpoint i put together to discuss the use of complimentary colours in famous artwork. This was part f a series of lessons on interpretations of Hokusai’s Great wave. The lesson begins with the retrieval of primary , secondary colours and how they mix. It then moves onto look at which colours work well together and which do not. There are examples used by famous artists to show which complimentary colours work well together. The children really enjoyed this discussion and applied their knowledge of complimentary colours in their own designs .
