A week by week project building up a range of textiles skills (e.g.tie dye, surface embellishment, hemming, bias binding, CAD /CAM techniques). Pupils are set a range of tasks to complete and then work together to create either a wall hanging or strip of bunting using their skills. Homework tasks and assessment tasks are included. It is linked to the new technical awards for fashion and textiles and includes research into job roles. There are skills based extension tasks for the more able.

A complete 9 week project booklet with week by week guide, tasks, homework and assessment tasks. This unit of work is a continuation of the year 7 and 8 Visual Communication projects and leads into the new Visual Communication technical award. Pupils have the chance to look at design eras, use CAD software, make a mould, packaging and promotional materials. They are encouraged to work as a team to put together a product launch and evaluate each others proposals.

This is a powerpoint with levelled questions for the compulsory unit Care Values. It discusses discrimination, judgement, the responsibilities of carers, how to address individuals, respect for beliefs and use of inclusive language. I print off the picture slides for small group work and follow this with a class discussion. the questions at the end of each lesson are colour coded so that learners can see which ones are relevant for their target level.
