A lesson (or could be 2) which guides students to writing their own mock questions for the source “Rebecca.” Students are also to create bullet point answers to their questions, so that they are able to mark their partner’s answers. This is a great way of testing students understanding of how the questions are set up. Also included in a full pre-made mock to support weaker students (or to be used as an actual mock) , as well as a teacher’s copy with possible answer points.

This is a creative writing series of three hour long lessons, focussing on descriptive writing. These lessons can be used to gauge students’ abilities in order to help determine areas of focus for further revision. They focus on showing rather than telling, using similes and metaphors, and breaking up an image when writing. The lesson plan breaks down areas for extension, differentiation, discussing British values, and also links in to the themes of the week which at the time was drugs or consent.
