These are all of the Musical Terms for each Musical Element presented by Eduqas in the Music GCSE Revision book. This PDF can be used as a teaching resource, revision or as a display. The key terms are listed under each Musical Element to further the knowledge of the students to meet the requirements of the course.

A 6-round Christmas Music Quiz featuring:

2. 12 Days Of Trivia (12 trivia questions about the holiday of the year)
3. Sleigh That Soundtrack (guess the film from the soundtrack)
4. Festive Fact or Fake News? (classic true or false about Christmas)
5. Santa’s Secret Sounds (guess the festive sound from the audio)
All soundbytes are edited and included on the slides, 12 questions per round. Answers on the final slides. Question sheets for students on the separate PDF.
There’s emphasis on the MUSIC part of Christmas but this can be used across the curriculum.
The quiz can last up to an hour (or more, depending on how long you want to give the students to complete each round). You could split the rounds across different lessons as a starter or plenary activity to get students in the Christmassy spirit!

1.Hits of 2024-25 - listen to the track and guess the title
2. Movie Blockbusters - listen to the soundtrack and guess the film
3. The Voice - guess the voice of the artist singing (clues given)
4. Culture & Entertainment - answer questions surrounding the world of entertainment in the last year
5. TV Themes - listen to the soundtrack and guess the TV series
6. Music From Around The Globe - listen to the track and guess the country it originated
This resource comes with the PowerPoint (with all videos and audio tracks cut and faded) and a Quiz Sheet for students to fill out their answers. Please note that the PowerPoint will not work on Google Slides, only on Microsoft PowerPoint

A full 6-week guide on creating a song featuring:
Instrumentation
Harmony
Drum grooves
Melody
Lyrics
Information on each plus examples (some taken from musescore) to guide students in the direction to create a successful song.
This will work well alongside any rock/pop scheme - more suited to Y9+
