Revision resources for students. I have broken down the specification and changed some of the wording to allow students to access it. I have also included diagrams and tables of information for the same purpose.
A notebook file with some drag and drop for a lesson on making fruity batteries. You also need some fruits, some metals e.g. copper, magnesium and iron and a voltmeter.
I have used this with a middle ability Year 9 group, the symbol equations will challenge more able if given without the word equations. It is worth laminating them for repeat use.
Introducing the development of the periodic table, I will use in conjunction with the AQA double page spread on this. Key points are that pioneers used atomic weight but only Mendeleev correctly predicted and left spaces for new elements.
