Made to intro the photographs of Ann Geddes during 'Sunflower week' . I included plant pictures that we had already explored such as cactus and waterlily. Children were enchanted by her pictures and it was fun to encourage them to describe the pictures and identify some of the plants that the babies were in.We then used cut out faces of the children as babies stuck on paper for them to convert into baby sunflowers. We also made a sunflower head dress and took pictures of them as slightly older sunflowers. Aaaah. Includes a link to Youtube showing how she sets up sunflower photo.

this is great to introduce an artist in EY and cant wait to use it in my growing plants topic next term-i am sure the children will love to do their own pictures-thank-you!
