BEN-HUR

Ben Hur

Hur is a rich Hebrew.
He has a Roman boyhood friend.
The friend goes off into the Roman army.
He returns as a successful officer.
Israel; is a contentious Roman province.
The friend demands names of people in the resistance.
When Hur refuses, an excuse is used to send him and his family off into prison.

Christ gives water to the slave Hur in the desert.
Hur is made a rower on a Roman warship.
During a sea battle, Hur saves the Roman admiral.
They return to Rome in triumph.

Hur becomes a charioteer for the Admiral who is rich.
Hur get adopted by the admiral but gives it all up to go looking for his family.
On the way, he races the friend who has a weaponized chariot.
Hur wins and the friend is killed.

Hur continues his search for his family who are found in a leper colony.
They are miraculously healed when Christ is killed - “A sacrifice for our
sins, who will heal us.”
