Black History Month October 2022 calendar for Primary School teachers’ use.

PDF calendar, with resources for each weekday to support teaching, learning and discussion about Black History Month.

Most days have a clickable icon which leads to an video (a mix of interviews, informational videos, songs and stories).

Videos have been carefully selected to be as easy as possible to slot into busy timetables - most are less than 5 minutes and all are less than 10. All should be accessible and engaging for children from year 1 up to year 6 and many are also suitable for Early Years.

2 resources are not clickable: one suggested refers to an informational powerpoint such as one available on Twinkl, and another suggested refers to a physical copy of the book Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History.

Half term week has been included with the idea that the resource could be shared with parents and carers, encouraging them to share that week’s resources with their children at home.
