A Complete lesson covering Black Pound Day UK. Includes a powerpoint presentation detailing what it is, why it has come about, its aims, how it helps black communities, why it is important and how to support BPD and what we can do to help. Suitable for GCSE and Key Stage 3 Students, athough could easily be modified for KS2.

Also attached is a set of activities which can be done individually or in groups. Can be used as a whole standalone lesson or as part of a PSHE course, Citizenship or a black history month lesson.

Great resource. I learned much about Black Pound Day myself from it. Looks like it could be spread over quite a few lessons too and the extension activities leave lots of opportunities for students to explore the topic.
