Display this on the interactive whiteboard when comparing/contrasting ideas. After a student has contributed to the discussion and used the connective, cross it out - thus making it 'dead&'. Students are only allowed to use a left over connective.

Really useful as we have just started focusing on this in grammar lessons.
Thi is very useful and very simple. When students can use these connectives in talk and understand how they are used, vocabulary increases, sentence structure increases and writing is extended with improved sign-posting.
