The power point presentation can be used as a starter activity to introduce pupils to the area of the Schwarzwald in Germany. The notebook file offers a gap text that gives the opportunity to practise reading skills. Then compounds are revised and finally two speaking activities (answering questions in German and a role-play scenario) complete the lesson plan. These resources have been specifically designed for the Intermediate 2/ Higher Unit 'The Wider World' but have also been used in S3.
