Based on an idea from a training session, this was intended (and worked very well!!) for lower set yr 8. They are presented with the picture (big discussion where it might be etc.) and find everything they can see on the w/s, then you can build up sentences after adding the adjectives, up to more complex ones with and/ but.

Brilliant. I love this idea and will use it. German is my second language after French, and I always struggle to find original ideas that I haven't already covered in my French lessons! This will do perfectly! thank you
