GCSE or Nat 5 OMAM Revision - Identify and analyse Steinbeck's techniques and sample questions

This resource would be great for GCSE English Literature students or National 5 English students.

It includes a list of quotes requiring students to identify the technique (prefigurement, symbolism, metaphor etc) and analyse why Steinbeck has chosen to use that particular technique. Then, it includes a list of past prose questions. They need to choose one (ideally the most challenging one!), plan and write the essay.

This would be a great homework activity as revision, or could be used as a classroom activity by pairing students up and asking them to plan the answer to a question in pairs.
