What can be done to help victims of sex trafficking in the UK?
In this RSA lecture, Emma Thompson and human rights activist Helen Bamber explain the plight of women who are brought into this country as sex slaves and ask what can be done to help them. An estimated 400,000 women are trafficked into the UK every year and forced to work as sex slaves. A public art installation Journey was created to expose the different stages of suffering experienced by these women and to raise public awareness of and support for the work of the Helen Bamber Foundation, which helps sex trafficking victims.

This is a powerful resource, especially when used with the pdf document that accompanies it. It raises a lot of issues involving Human rights and suffering. It is very long to be used in class, but raises many important issues. It would also be useful to use with KS5.
