This play for primary schools looks at explore how other countries provide food for us in the UK and the impact this has on the environment. Children will learn about food security and why it is important, some problems with wasting food and where their food comes from.

The play lasts around 15 minutes in performance. The script has roles for everyone in the class and not only explores topics but develops transferable skills such as teamwork, creativity and leadership. It is great to perform for the whole school community. You might use it for assemblies, harvest festivals, and special food related events like World No Meat day.

The play is written by Elinor Roos and produced by Theatre of Debate. It is part of The Crunch - an exciting year of free activities, experiences and discussions about our food, our health and our planet: please see thecrunch.wellcome.ac.uk/schools-and-colleges and use #thecrunch2016
