I developed this resource to complement one of the strategies covered by the Write Away Together scheme. It’s a colour-coded, A4 sheet which uses icons and examples of each sentence-opening strategy.
Update (09/2021): Word version added, to allow font substitution and varied terminology, but you’ll need to download your own symbols, as the original version included symbols from a downloaded font which won’t automatically show up in the Word document (which is why it was “locked in” as a PDF originally.) Search for “web symbols” on sites like Font Squirrel, or visit the Noun Project.
