Autumn Subitise

This engaging autumn-themed subitising activity supports children in developing their number recognition, subitising and early mathematical understanding.

Children look carefully at the quantities shown on each autumn leaf and subitise the number of objects without counting them one by one. They then select and place the correct numeral onto each leaf to represent the quantity they have recognised.

This resource is ideal for EYFS and Reception continuous provision, independent learning or adult-led maths activities and provides a fun, hands-on way for children to practise recognising small quantities quickly and confidently.
