Every October, Black History Month is a celebration of all Black life, including Black lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace people.

For all of us at Stonewall, Black History Month is an opportunity to highlight the work and contributions of Black LGBTQ+ people, which are too often forgotten and erased.  That’s why we’ve created these Black History Month assemblies, which celebrate Ted Brown as well as the LGBTQ+ and Black liberation movements of the 1970s.

These assemblies are aimed at learners with SEND/ALN/ASN. Version 2 of the assembly is Widget symbol supported.

We also have assemblies for mainstream schools. Use the version of the assembly that will work best for your students.

Take a look at our other resources for different versions of this assembly:
Reception and Key Stage 1
Key Stage 2
Key Stage 3 and 4
