I made these lessons when I was a cover supervisor in a secondary Special Needs School. They were adapted from twinkl.
The other lessons went over the alliances of the empires and the assassination of Franz Ferdinand.
In this lesson we watch a video and there is a focus on how war was perceived by the British before going into it. Then we look at the different weapons (which can be printed and pupils try to name). Then the rest of the lesson is discussing the reality of war with these new weapons and the devastating battles soldiers had to survive.
