First powerpoint: just click away and the fireworks will appear for the children to count. Second powerpoint: I printed off these sheets. Enlarged to A3 and laminated. I cut v. closely round the fireworks (that takes a while) . Children then made their own placing and arranging firework pictures using tweezers. Each picture was unique and photographed for display. Easy!

Hiya, thats a great idea, i like the idea of making the fireworks appear too. I am reading the story to the children of the gunpowder plot tomorrow, this will fit in well. Thank you.

Lovely idea for an activity which can be extended for independent play. From your explanation I was expecting the fireworks to appear individually for the children to count and the number to follow shortly after. I will try to adapt it to see if this is possible - might be easier for chn to count and more interactive. Thank you for the idea.
