This is a lesson I did with a year 7/8 class. The hot potato is where each group has a sheet (A3) and they have 1 min to write down what it shows. After the first min the sheets are passed on and the time is reduced until they have written on all sheets. Then with their original sheets the groups tick the statements/info they agree with and then present this back to the group. Musical timers work well.
