Free Kindergarten Report Card Comments

Free, US edition, Kindergarten: 50 editable report card comments and a spreadsheet comment picker for Excel and Google Sheets. Type your students’ first names, choose a level for each area, and get a ready-to-edit Kindergarten report card comment for every child.

Inside:

• 50 Kindergarten comments: Reading, Math, Work Habits and Behavior & Social Skills at three levels (Excelling, On track, Needs support), plus next steps, openings and closings
• The comment picker for 10 students (Excel, or Google Sheets via File > Import)
• A 7-page PDF of every comment, with a character count for each

Written for Kindergarten: letter names and sounds, rhyming, sight words, retelling, counting objects to 20, shapes, adding within 5, routines, sharing and calm words.

Why these report card comments work in class:

• Pronoun-free: comments use the child’s name (or “your child”), so they fit any student; an optional He/She setting stops the name repeating
• Few repeats: students with the same choices get different comments (3-4 per choice in this sampler)
• Private: the file sends nothing anywhere; no add-ons, sign-ins or extra apps
• Fits your system: a character counter turns red above your report system’s limit
• Honest note: this sampler has 1 closing and 1 end-of-year closing, so every student gets the same one; the full pack has 8 + 4

US edition (Kindergarten = the year before 1st grade; Reception/Year 1 in England).

Want the full set? Report Card Comments K-2 (US) + Picker has 230 comments for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade in 9 areas, with the same picker for your whole class. Report Card Comments K-8 (US) + Picker has all 690 comments.

Please read and edit every comment so it is true for your student.
