Join thousands of primary school children across the UK taking part in a free phenology activity between 17-22 May. Aimed at 5-11 year olds, it’s an ideal practical activity to engage children with real science outside the classroom. Taking part is straightforward – for full details and to download a sheet containing the list of plants to look for, visit: www.greatplanthunt.org/gphweek. Phenology is the study of the seasonal life cycles of plants and animals. Scientists at Kew have been logging the flowering time of plants since the 1950’s.
