You'll also need a ball of wool or string for this. Cut out the food web cards and give them out to the pupils. Using the food chains they need to connect up each of them using the wool/string. They can eaily see using this how lots of food chains in the same habitat can make up a very complicated food web. You can then push this further to discuss what happens the population of different organisms drop. This is easy to see if you get the pupil holding the card for that organism to drop their wool/string.
