Here is my poster I use to remind the children of the 5 things that will help them to be ready to learn when sitting together on the carpet.
I use the hand to remind them of the 5 things we need when listening together:
- sitting comfortably
- looking at the speaker
- listening to who’s speaking
- no talking/ shouting out when we are listening to others
- thinking about what we have been learning so we can answer questions
