Created to celebrate 100 years of Roald Dahl in Secondary School; KS3. For a fun packed lesson!

Two tasks where students have to solve the clues and solve the mystery.

The first task is based on the short story 'Lamb to the Slaughter' by Roald Dahl - can be found online (the students are given the short story with the murder section taken out - they must use inference and clues from the text). It has a twist of incorporating characters from The Twits and Esio Trot. Students have to discover who killed Mr Maloney and what the murder weapon was. Can be used as a starter.

The second task is longer and based on Bruno Jenkins going missing (takes elements from The Witches, James and the Giant Peach, The BFG and Matilda). Can be adapted to suit the classroom (my classroom has a scrabble display so some clues are hidden behind coordinates). Incorporates numeracy, geography and literacy.
