A simple interactive whiteboard Maths game to develop children’s early subitising skills. Children are presented with various arrangements of buttons. Children show their answer with their fingers and or click on the matching number card. This simple maths game fits well with WhiteRose Maths planning and Spring Term unit Alive in Five and develops early number knowledge within five. This game might be played as part of whole class teaching and learning or work well as part of a small adult-led session to explore different compositions of buttons within five. (33 slides in length and easily editable in PowerPoint to suit the needs of your class). A gingerbread mat is also included at the end of this game that can be printed off and used by the children to create different arrangements of five buttons during continuous provision.
