This is an activity/assessment I created for my students who had finished learning about the different elements of a short story, and were about to start writing their own stories. I uploaded several copies of the story into Google Drive, and the students co-edited the story in groups to change the plot, characters, setting, genre and conflict. This could also be done manually, and suits different age groups/abilities.
